BB Asia History in chronological order
|7 May 2002||At the East Asia Regional Fellowship meeting held in Bangkok, Thailand, the idea of BB Asia was first mooted and a Pro-tem Committee formed under the chairmanship of Mr Michael Moorthy, the Brigade President of BB Malaysia. The paper proposing the new international confederation came from Mr Lim K Tham of BB Singapore.|
|26 July 2003||BB Asia was officially inaugurated in Johor Baru when BB representatives from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand signed a memorandum of agreement giving birth to the regional association.

|22 May 2004||The 1st General Council Meeting was held at the BB Campus in Singapore. It was at that meeting that the first Executive Committee was elected.|
|30 April 2005||BB Macau was accepted as full member.|
|1 July 2006||Mr Lawrence Tay (Malaysia) was employed as the first Executive Secretary of BB Asia on a part-time basis.|
|10-14 November 2006||The 1st BB Asia Academy was held at Chefoo Methodist Centre, Cameron Highlands, Malaysia. There were about 100 participants from 8 Countries (Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and United Kingdom)
|13 November 2006||The BB Asia Logo was adopted.
BGBP Philippines was accepted as Associate Member
|21 November 2006||The BB Asia Website http://www.bbasia.org was started.|
|1 February 2008||First BB Asia Newsletter “Across Asia” was produced. This newsletter is issued bi-monthly.
Mr Lawrence Tay (Malaysia) was employed as BB Asia’s first full-time Executive Secretary.
|25 February 2008||BB Asia’s first newsletter “Across Asia” was published on bi-monthly basis. The first issue was January-February 2008.|
|27-31 August 2008||The 2nd BB Asia Academy was held at Sentul Leadership Development Centre, Bogor, Indonesia. There were about 100 participants from 10 Countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and United Kingdom)
|1 January 2010||Mr Francis Chiong was employed as the second full-time Executive Secretary
|20 January 2010||BB work in the Philippines was started.
|15 July 2010||BB Asia secretariat operated from its first rented office at 2nd Floor Wisma Methodist, Lorong Hang Jebat in Kuala Lumpur.
|18-22 August 2010||The 1st Full Time Workers Conference was held at Methodist Bungalow Fraser’s Hill. There were 17 participants from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
|19 December 2010||The first enrolment service for 1st Phnom Penh Company was conducted. 1st Phnom Penh is the first BB Company to be formed in Cambodia.
|February 2011||BB Asia Circle Facebook Group was re-launched and greater emphasis was put in to promote the group as a tool to generate BB Asia awareness and its programs among members of the BB in Asia region and beyond.
|3 March 2012||BB Thailand dedicated its very own 3-storey Headquarters.
|28 July 2011||BB Philippines 1st National Council Meeting was held to elect the first National Executive Committee.
|4 May 2012||BB Philippines was officially registered with the Securities Exchange Commission and taking on the official name of “The Brigade, Philippines”.|
|28-31 December 2012||The 1st BB Asia Officers Fellowship was held in Hong Kong. More than 90 participants attended the fellowship.
|29 December 2012||BB Philippines was officially accepted as full member of BB Asia at the BB Asia Executive Committee Meeting in Hong Kong.|
|30 December 2012||7th General Council Meeting of BB Asia was held in Hong Kong. Mr Ong Teong Hoon was elected as the new president of BB Asia. He took over from his predecessor Mr Michael Moorthy who has been in the helmed since the inception of BB Asia in 2003.
